We carve each piece of natural stone furniture from a single block of stone. Each block is quarried from an area where minerals and other elements crystallize under extreme pressure and heat over thousands of years. The precise combination of minerals and the conditions in which the stone was formed affects the stone’s texture, color, grain pattern, and other characteristics.
Our furniture is made from a variety of stones sourced directly from quarries around the world – marble in a variety of colors, travertine, onyx, quartz, semi-precious stones, and more.
When blocks of stone arrive at our workshop, they have completed a journey that began in a quarry in the mountains or hills where the stone was formed. Those mountains could be a few miles away or thousands of miles away. Each type originates from a different part of the world, and some areas are renowned for the quality and color of the stone they produce.
In this article, we will look at the origins of the stones we supply and are used in Davani Group furniture, tiles and wall cladding. To view any of the natural stones mentioned here, please visit OUR STONE INVENTORY.
