About Blue Marble
The Davani Group sources blue marble for use in furniture, tiles, and cladding. The color and vein pattern of blue marble are influenced by the conditions in which it was formed and range from inky blue-blacks to powder blues and light blue-grays.
Blue marbles are typically veined with a multitude of colors. Pure marble, which is made of calcite, is white. The blues and grays in blue marble result from compounds present in the calcite when the marble formed. Blue marbles often contain swirls and veins made of lazulite, pyrite, and various oxides.
The Davani Group brings the highest quality blue marble from quarries around the world to our workshops in Italy, where the blocks are made into furniture designed by the foremost Italian furniture designers or custom pieces created just for our clients.
